It is specifically a 4 remands (pre-trial detention in jail) and 9 residence prohibitions from the city of Turin; the fact for which it was issued is the picket against an eviction of last May 2nd.
In the raid police took also away a migrant comrade without legal papers.

Anti-fascists arrested in Rome in a counter-demo (Italy)

Source: Radio Onda d’Urto

Violent clashes between police and fascists (on the same side) and the anti-fascists in Rome, Saturday afternoon 5th November, during an anti-fascist mobilization organized in the Magliana neighborhood of Rome.

Antifascists of the city, including comrades of the social center Macchia Rossa, had gathered at 15.30 in the streets to protest against the demo of Forza Nuova (neo-fascist party) in the neighborhood, which was prohibited by the police, to claim anti-immigration policies (after the rise of racist citizens against refugees).

Also in the Magliana neighborhood, a few weeks ago, as well CasaPound (now a neo-fascist party, former social movement) opened an office, which is also looking to speculate on the economic crisis and the difficulties in the popular area of the capital with anti-immigration rhetoric.

The police aligned to protect the demo of Forza Nuova, shot tear gas to the anti-fascist demo, then charged the demo, that was not able to protect itself due to the brutal violence of the police, and started a real manhunt in the streets, riot cops and political police were searching the comrades in bars and shops too.
Around 30/40 comrades got in custody, 10 of them finally arrested. Meanwhile, some fascists irrupted in the social center.

In the same day in another city of Italy, Pavia, the police charged and injured antifascists who gathered with ANPI against a “fascist march” called by CasaPound to remember Emanuele Zilli, fascist activist who died in 1973.

Not only all the shades of left-wing of the city gathered against the fascists, but even the city’s mayor, Massimo DePaoli, attended to the protest.
Despite the position of the City Council, the police have align openly to protect the handful of fascists came to the city from other locations (especially from Milan, it seems) since the beginning. The march of the fascists went trought the streets in the city center.

In Florence a determined bloc has resisted the police charges, who wanted to prevent the demonstration. The Democratic Party gave a speech in favor of the positive result of the referendum and its policies, responsible for the current situation of precariousness and poverty in Italy, as well as the repression that all the movements and the people in this country, trying to raise their heads, are suffering.

It is unacceptable the fact of denying the right to demonstrate. It is unacceptable the destruction of the welfare state implemented by the Renzi Cabinet. It is unacceptable the dismantling of workers’ rights and the growing precariousness. The miserable condition that the Italian schools are, not to mention the pitiful school reform and the privatization of public health.
It is unacceptable that the masters of the Democratic Party militarize a city, to decide how to exploit millions of people.

Cops have attacked the Stop Fennovoima and RtC camps! Support sort of needed [en, it, de, fi]

Languages: English, Italiano, Deutsch, Suomi

The police has evicted both Pyhäjoki’s camps and trashed all constructions inside them. Fear not, hardships are made to be temporary… The struggle continues! More info coming soon. (Suomeksi tässä)

English:

After a nonviolent human chain with lock-ons that blocked the traffic to the construction site… on April 28th around 3pm, riot cops and a police patrol with dogs started to approach the camp. We communicated clearly to the police with a megaphone that they are not welcome, and we don’t want to engage in conflict with them. The police didn’t say anything or answer any questions.

The police started to shoot people with a projectile/rubber bullet gun and the people at the camp defended themselves by throwing rocks. The police were clearly aiming for the activists heads, backs of heads and upper bodies with the gun. People got hit several times on the area of their upper bodies. As far as we know, not to their heads though… The police got hit several times with the rocks, and there was one police car burning up in flames at the area.

After a long struggle with delay tactics, the police managed to move ahead to the camp when the people who were defending the camp disappeared to the forest. In the camp the police shot projectiles towards the kitchen-collective people. The police evacuated all the people from the camp, and took some people into custody.

During the day cops arrested 35 people. Most of them are released by now. 9 people are kept in custody still and 4-6 of them are faced with threat of deportation. We will update situation soon.

We don’t accept giving into repression and police violence, and the struggle against Fennovoima will continue.

Now we’ll need everyone to help build up the camp again, and to continue the fight and actions against Fennovoima. We invite comrades to this fight wherever you are – let’s aim our actions towards the companies which are working with/for Fennovoima, the embassies of Finland, or the local police.

Italiano:

A presto aggiornamenti.

Kommenteista poimittua:
”Tilannepäivitystä:
-Poliisi otti eilen yhteensä kiinni 35 henkilöä, suurin osa otettiin kiinni Fennovoimantiellä olleesta rauhanomaisesta blokkauksesta. Ainoastaan muutama henkilö kiinniotettiin leiristä poliisin tunkeutuessa sinne.

-Leiriläisiä vapautetaan juuri nyt putkasta, iso osa jo vapaalla.

-Joitain leiriläisiä loukkaantunut poliisin toimista

-Leiri tulee ainakin toistaiseksi pysymään ja jatkamaan toimintaansa, kaikesta huolimatta.”

Incognito – Experiences that defy identification

This book is about living in hiding. It pierces the darkness and leaps into the secrecy of the incognito, a parallel dimension in which even what could be said often is not. Out of excess of tact, fear or because one thinks it is not relevant. Or, in certain milieux and in the worst cases, due to mere political tactics. But, even at a glance, the world of clandestine people is not a desert land; on the contrary it is populated by living beings, experiences and ideas that are very close to ours, in both the most miserable and the most fascinating aspects of our lives, close to our most ardent desires and passionate daydreams.

Hambach Forest occupation – a struggle against lignite mining and domination

hambachforest.blogsport.de

June 2015

This zine tries to give a short overview over the struggle against the lignite mining in the Rhineland in Germany. It is a compilation of texts that were written by people who also participated the occupation.

One thing that is important to understand is that it is an open struggle which means that there are somehow agreements against hierarchy and domination, sexism, racism and speciesism but there is no exact collective opinion. People who participate the struggle in the Hambacher Forst participate as individuals who organize together but not as platformist slaves.

This means also that opinions and analysis stated in the following texts do not necessarily reflect on a common point of view. Rather there are as many opinions as people involved. Surely there are also many things to criticize (such as victimisation or using terms and logics of the state like “guilty“, “illegal“ or „injustice“ for example). And this criticism is necessary and welcome.

So this compilation of texts does not even reflect on the opinion of the people who put it together. But surely the ones who read this zine will be smart enough to make up their own conclusions.

Contents:

– Short facts about the lignit mining in Rhineland (Germany)
– The Hambacher Forst occupation
– The first declaration of the Hambacher Forst occupation in 2012
– About the relationship between domination and environmental destruction
– Other parts of resistance in the area
– A few thoughts about solidarity and violence
– Small lexicon of forms of action
– Chronicle 2012-2014

Nowdays the repression is putting into effect new practices whose range is disturbing and unsetting. All the governments are implementing an apparatus which doesn’t just repress, but it takes the shape of a real counter-insurgency device. The ability to control and manipulate people has reached its peak.

The means have evolved but their formula is still the same: divide et impera. It is so that every single social struggle carried out by any protest movement will meet gradual crumbling and a consequent, unavoidable collapse.

The real purpose of the anti-terrorism legislation promulgated by many governments is to create and then use social tension against comrades and activists of any kind.
Detentions have the peculiar goal to strike and undermine social struggles, not to punish “criminals” or “terrorists” as they claim.

Being forced into mental institutions or prisons by police apparatus, comrades are kept away from those struggles or revolutionary movements they were carrying on.

Detention can strike in different ways. On one side there’s the brutality of jails, which hold, segregate, censor and degrade their prisoners. On the other hand there are the deceitful mental institutions which don’t just relegate political struggles in the field of individual delirium, but they also try in any possible way to corrupt and subdue people’s mind inhibiting any contestant, critical or revolutionary instinct.

Segregation is an immediate consequence of repression and can strike both personal and political lives. Comrades might get kept out from his/her groups, committees or communities. Never forget your comrades. They are still fighting their struggles as humans and as activists. So they must be in the know in the matter of the struggles they can’t live at present. Don’t forget that every mail will likely filtered, delayed, monitored and very often also censored.

We believe all struggles across the world are interconnected. Getting in touch with comrades prisoners can help the struggles’ connection evolve from a theoretical perspective to present revolution.

Let’s remind our activists and comrades that there is a burning world out there.

“Internacia solidareco” (it)
